What an incredible summer at Camp Kidville!  We have had a remarkable camp season embracing each theme week with costumes, decor, themed projects and more.  This week Kidville Campers explored the theme, Community Friends!  We learned about doctors, teachers, police officers, mail carriers and fire fighters.  Today at Kidville’s Flagship store, our campers had a memorable meet and greet with Fire Fighter Joe from the FDNY!

Fire Fighter Joe talked to our Kidville Campers about fire safety and what he does everyday for the FDNY.  We started with a kid-sized version of an FDNY Fire Truck.  The campers loved calling out each part of the fire truck.  “I see the fire hose!” and “I see the ladder!”

Then Fire Fighter Joe showed all the Kidville Campers each part of his uniform!  From the big fire boots to the ever so important fire helmet!  The campers also discovered his flash light.

What visit would be complete without a group photo of our Community Friends!

I think it is fair to say that the Kidville Team was just as excited as the Kidville Campers!  Thanks again to Fire Fighter Joe and to fire fighters all across the country!
